MEMORIAL MASS FOR RUSTY STAUB INFORMATION

WHAT:            
A Memorial Mass for Mets Hall of Famer Rusty Staub will take place at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. A six-time All-Star and Mets Ambassador, Staub, 73, passed away on March 29. Members of the NYPD, FDNY and PAPD Ceremonial units and respective pipe bands will be participating.  Cardinal Timothy Michael Dolan, Archbishop of New York, will be the main celebrant. Monsignor Kevin Sullivan, Executive Director of Catholic Charities, will preach.

WHERE:          
St. Patrick’s Cathedral Between 50 and 51st streets on 5th Avenue

WHEN:            
Wednesday, April 25, 2018 2 p.m. – Memorial guests may enter beginning 1:30 p.m.

GUIDELINES:   There will be no cameras allowed inside the cathedral. No video will be recorded. A Mets photographer will provide photos for the other outlets.                        

Inside St. Patrick’s Cathedral there will be a space designated for media (No Cameras) attending to view the Mass. If you wish to attend the Mass, please call Jay Horwitz at 718-565-4330 (office)/646-265-7656 (cell) or via e-mail at jhorw@nymets.com.

Outside, there will be a designated space provided for media to cover arrivals. There will also be an area designated at the conclusion of the Mass on the 51st St. side to interview members of Staub’s family and/or friends who wish to make themselves available to the media.
