School Buses Roll Out with Food, Not Kids, to Feed Hungry Families

Check out this “Stuff the Bus” Phenomenon!

“Stuff the Bus” caravans rolled out with 8,617 pounds of food for hungry children last month thanks to teamwork between shoppers, donors of non-perishable food and a host of radio stations and local businesses.

With school cafeterias closed for the summer, too many children are hungry. 

So the team effort helped stock food pantries and soup kitchens of Catholic Charities – that in turn helps families who now have to provide an extra meal to their kids during summer break!

All told they collected enough food to provide 7,181 meals for children and families served by Catholic Charities food pantries and soup kitchen in Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan and Orange counties.
