Room in the Inn: Read this Real Life Christmas Story

Posted on December 24, 2015 by Alice Kenny  |  Share

Maybe life would have been okay for Margaret Macaluso, the widowed mother of triplets and an older son, if only they could have avoided the end of some months.  On August 28, 2011, Hurricane Irene flooded the family’s three bedroom ranch home.  On October 29, 2012, Hurricane Sandy destroyed the ranch while they were still in the process of repairing it. And on August 28, 2015, Ms. Macaluso, made a nomad along with her sons, was diagnosed with Stage 3 ovarian cancer.

Now as we end another month, the month of Christmas, we not only pray but also lend support to her and her sons.

Read her true-life Christmas story and learn about help she received from Catholic Charities in The New York Times.
