No Wonder We're Anxious - Check Out These Just-Released Stats

No wonder we’re anxious!  Now, this Thanksgiving season, it’s time to do something about it.

The New York Times released a poll just last week saying New Yorkers are economically anxious.  So anxious, in fact, that it documented a full half of NYC residents saying they are “struggling economically, making ends meet but just barely.”

The next day we find out the number of people living on NYC streets and shelters has gone up -- even as the numbers of homeless dipped nationwide, according to a just-released count by the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development.

There is no getting around it. Need in New York continues to grow.  It grows as much of our nation and many fellow New Yorkers thrive.

Please join us at Catholic Charities as we answer this growing need.  We support a vast network of soup kitchens and food panties, emergency shelters, temporary and transitional housing and permanent affordable housing to help homeless families, adults and teens.
