Msgr. Sullivan at Labor Day Celebration

Msgr. Kevin Sullivan, Executive Director of Catholic Charities greets Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill DiBlasio on the steps of St. Patrick’s Cathedral at the beginning of the Labor Parade on Saturday September 10, 2016

Cardinal Dolan greeted 1200 Labor leaders and union members at the annual Mass for Labor at St. Patrick’s Cathedral that preceded the parade.  Msgr. Sullivan, the celebrant this year’s Mass for Labor, preached on the theme:  “Partakers of one loaf, partakers of one economy: looking within to, together, better build the common good.”  The annual Mass for Labor celebrates the contribution of working men and women and prays for plentiful decent work opportunities that foster the dignity of workers.”
