Catholic Charities Has Your Back

Potential food stamp cuts, labyrinthine TSA airport lines, shuttered parks plus all the crises caused by the government shutdown makes New Yorkers nervous.

Don’t worry.  At Catholic Charities NY, we are staying open.  We offer free services.  We are here for you.

Day in and day out, government shutdown or congressional compromise, Catholic Charities NY will continue

Cutbacks threaten the most vulnerable New Yorkers; those already hungry and struggling.  They also threaten the middle class; government employees relying on pay checks to pay rent.  And they trickle up to threaten businesses, landlords, in short everyone who relies on payments from furloughed employees.

While Catholic Charities cannot reverse government decisions on crucial areas such as funding food stamps, or immigration hearings indefinitely postponed, we pledge to do all we can to fill the gaps.

From Staten Island to Sullivan County and on both sides of the Hudson River our food pantries remain open throughout the New York archdiocese.  Our seasoned case managers remain ready to provide free services touching almost every human need.

When it comes to the government shutdown, don’t worry.  We’ve got your back.

Catholic Charities NY is here for you.

Catholic Charities is responding to the needs of our neighbors during the
COVID-19 pandemic.
