Special Thank You for Helping Us Feed the Hungry

Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Mark McDemott and Msgr. Kevin Sullivan

In his neo-Gothic residence adjacent to St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Cardinal Dolan entertained 35 top Catholic Renewal donors last Tuesday morning, May 29th, during a special morning breakfast held to thank them for their key support helping us feed the hungry.

Catholic Renewal is a group of professionals in the corporate restructuring industry committed to building a community and network that provides charitable assistance to individuals and groups in need through the inspiration and spiritual growth of its members.

Participants, including honorees from Catholic Renewal fall receptions during the past two years, strolled along oriental carpets and below white draperies.  Carrying coffee and pastries they exchanged quips, offered suggestions on how to better help the hungry and basked in Cardinal Dolan’s signature bear hugs.

The Catholic Renewal Fall Reception, a signature event for the group, raised $1.3 million to support Catholic Charities food programs for families and individuals in need.

Its next big event includes a cocktail reception and program on September 17, 2018 at the New York Athletic Club. Dennis R. Dunne, partner of Milgank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP and Deirdre McGuinness, managing director of Epiq will be honored.
