Prayers for Victims and Help for Hurricane Disaster Survivors

At Catholic Charities, we will never forget.

When terrorists attacked on 9/11, Catholic Charities helped establish an integrated system of services.

“When thousands were fleeing the 9/11 attacks in New York, there were many running the ‘wrong way” to help those in need.”

Cardinal Timothy Dolan

We're here for you when disasters strike.  From the World Trade Center disaster to Hurricane Irene and Superstorm Sandy, Catholic Charities served as the premier provider and coordinator of disaster relief.

Our professional staff and volunteers visit parishes to deliver information and resources.  We collect and distribute food and supplies.  We tailor our response to meet individual needs.

Now, as we honor the victims of 9/11 and their families, we pray also for all hurt by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma today.

“This week we have to deal with a number of issues that are really, really difficult,” says Catholic Charities Executive Director Msgr. Kevin Sullivan in his recent Disaster Relief special aired on JustLove on SIRIUS XM Satellite Radio on the Catholic Channel.  “They’re disasters.  They’re tragedies.

Please join us to take a moment of silence today, even for just a minute, to remember those lost on 9/11, those grieving and all who helped them survive.

Please also help with our current hurricane disaster relief efforts by  donating to Catholic Charities USA

We provide help.  We create hope.  We rebuild lives.
