Check It Out

You read that right. Our affiliate, Lavelle School for the Blind, is hosting its second annual art exhibition created by the school’s students and aptly named “Vision of Art 2.”

Much of the art involves textures and sculptures. Some was created by students with some sight left. Some was created by students with no vision at all.  And all of it offers a different, inspiring look on life.

Established in the Catholic tradition by the Dominican Sisters of Blauvelt a century ago when far too many children with visual impairments were warehoused and forgotten, Lavelle School for the Blind educates children with visual impairments and other disabilities to foster their independence.  It develops all students to their fullest potential and provides support and resources to students and their parents.

Check out their Vision of Art 2 Exhibit.

When:  Friday, April 7, 2017, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Where: Lavelle School for the Blind Auditorium, 3830 Paulding Ave., Bronx, NY  10469
