Announcing Our Yankees Tickets Winners!

Posted on July 27, 2017 by Alice Kenny  |  Share

Special thanks to you, our Charity in Action fans!  More than 400 of you all told entered our Yankee Tickets Survey Contest to watch the Yankees trounce the Cincinnati Reds and celebrate Catholic Charities Cenntennial at Yankee Stadium on July 25th.

Your survey responses provided a big boost, enabling us to tailor our stories of help and hope to your interests.

“At first, I didn’t think it was real,” said Maria, one of our contest winners.

Well yes, Maria, it sure was real.

To prove it, as promised, we searched our winners out and found most in those great field level seats they won.

So now, without further ado, let’s introduce them:

Drum Roll….

Big congratulations to:

Maria M.

Lindsay C.

Vincent D.

Mike R.

Valerie T.

Yolanda O.

Kimberly T.

Stacey D.

 George F.

Name with held upon request

Here are photos of some of our winners!

Here’s Maria, a “Yankees fan, born and bred,” with her Mets fan husband, and 2 daughters – still undecided –
and students at a local Manhattan Catholic school

Some trivia about Mike (Left): Mike’s a parishioner at St. John the Baptist in Yonkers (Yay!) and a Mets fan
(Hmmm…Check out the tell-tale light blue t-shirt semi disguised by his sweatshirt.)

Kimberly (R) volunteers regularly for Catholic Charities during her employer’s, Deloitte’s, annual “Impact Day.”
Raised in Texas and now living in Washington Heights, she quickly became a huge Yankees fan.
In fact, this marked her third Yankees game of the season.

George coaches the CYO track team in which his son, Mathew, a Bronx Catholic school student, races.

Congratulations, contestants!

Congratulations, Catholic Charities, on 100 years of creating help and hope for New Yorkers in need! And stay tuned.

We’re planning more contests – with more winners – this Catholic Charities NY Centennial year!

Catholic Charities is responding to the needs of our neighbors during the
COVID-19 pandemic.
